I have been designing for over a decade. My career has spanned startups, medium-size companies, and large corporations. In each, I have joined my strengths in analytical thinking with effective communication, on small teams of six and with large divisions employing hundreds. I have shared recommendations with VPs and CEOs, spoken to audiences of designers and developers, and launched products used by millions each day.
My expertise includes user experience, interaction design, user research, shipping 1st-generation products, and working on complex systems.
My superpowers are working joyfully with engineers, presenting complex ideas in ways feature teams and executives can both understand, and analytical problem solving.
I am currently work at Fitbit, designing user interfaces for physical products. In 2015, I was a Bridge Fellow through Designer Fund.
My career began at LeapFrog delivering a 1st-generation product. I then worked at Tellme, a startup of 300 people, until its acquisition by Microsoft in 2007 where I remained until 2014.
In October 2014, I took the trip of a lifetime, traveling around the US in an RV with my wife and our dog Rubi.
